2. Tuesday May 18: Nonpolluting Commuting Challenge (bicyclist vs. auto driver)
   1. South Redondo: John Nikitas vs. TBA (Jim Clemmons?)
   2. North Redondo: Grace Peng vs. Mark Polak
   3. Manhattan beach: John Gower vs. Bill Clarkson
   4. Palos Verdes Peninisula: John Stevens vs. Don Mayer
   5. Santa Monica: Dick Dickinson vs. Dave Kessler
   6. Torrance: Brent Morgan vs. TBA
3. Wednesday May 19: Bicycle Fair in the courtyard
   1. Each of the bike shops has been contacted once by phone. Cheryl needs to check on the insurance for the bike fair before we can proceed. Once she gives the OK, we will send letters to each bike shop to give details and solicit their participation. Mark and Cheryl will work on the letters.
4. Thursday May 20 is Bike to Work Day
   1. Mark and John Stevens will meet at RAT beach to lead the ride
   2. Bike and Bagel would normally fall on Friday May 21 but we will move it up one day this time.
   3. We want a big turnout for this event. So let's go out and recruit coworkers to give it a try!
   4. Mark and Grace will write a short blurb for the orbiter to publicize the event.
   5. Every rider (need not ride in with the beach path group) that shows up at the South Gate with a bike that morning will receive a free T-shirt and water bottle.
   6. We need to arrange volunteers to go buy the bagels and juice.
5. Monday and Friday: no special plans
6. Sunday: Potluck BBQ at Mark and Grace's house for all bike club volunteers
