Dos Lagos was built on the site of an abandoned silica mine, which left the land scarred from years of neglect and illegal dumping. Regeneration is evident and wildlife is returning to the 286-acres that comprise the Dos Lagos Golf Course and greenbelt, adjacent hillside open space preserve and restored mile-long Temescal Creek that meanders through the course. Matt Dye has blended the natural surroundings of the old quarry site with unique and varied golf holes. |
