Please join us Thursday, May 21, Noon -1 p.m. in the A3-2226 multimedia conference room for a presentation on aerial photography and videography using a drone.
Recent advances in commercial quadcopter technology (aka drones) bring a new perspective to the world of photography and videography. With stable 3-axis flight controllers, active gimbals, and lightweight camera payloads, intrepid hobbyists can now experiment in this exciting new realm at relatively low financial risk.
John Coggi has been flying drones for the past year and will share his experiences in hardware, software, flying, and filming. Topics include current drone offerings, gimbals, first-person video, tracking, video post-processing, and when things go wrong.
Pizza will be provided to members on a first come first served basis. You can join at the meeting!
