July 2022 HAM Club Meeting

We had our July AEA ARC meeting on July 28 at 11:30 AM Pacific time. It was in A3/2226 MMC and on TEAMS

We are looking for presentations for upcoming meetings. We have three slots to fill for this calendar year, August, September and October. We are thinking of a presentation from Sarah about Antennas and a presentation from the local ARRL section coordinator about ARRL. If you can present on a HAM radio related topic or know of someone who can, let me know.

D8 Amplifier Circuit Installed

The new circuit and outlet has been installed for the new D8 Amplifier. It will be on the air soon.

  • This is a 240V 20A circuit because the amplifier takes 195-250 VAC, 50/60 Hz up to 20A supply voltage
  • The outlet for the old amp was on the South Wall and would require a extra long power cord. I had the outlet moved here so it is near the other outlets used by the station and won’t require a new power cord.
