At 8:30 AM Pacific Time on April 9, we had our Monthly HF Net. Operators were:

- Doug McNulty – KM4GC – Leesburg VA
- Bob Lanahan – KK6WYW – Vero Beach FL
- Al Carlson – NA1N – Laytonsville MD
We also had Lyn Shaw KO6HLJ with me in the A3 shack as an observer and scribe.
Propagation was pretty poor for this net. We started on 28.380 MHz and no one could hear each other. On 24.970 MHz, Al could hear Doug with a report of 3-3. On 21.280 MHz Al could hear Doug at a 2-2. On 18.160 MHz, Al could hear Doug at a 4-4. Finally on 14.268 MHz (20 Meters) more people could hear each other:
